When choosing an evaluator, it's essential to work with someone who has a thorough understanding of the cognitive and emotional disabilities being assessed, along with strong knowledge of DSM and ADA guidelines for diagnosis. A good assessment is not just about test scores. A skilled psychologist knows how to read between the lines, because the answers are not always in the numbers.
